Seahorse comes from the ancient Greek, Hippocampus. “Hippo” which means horse and ”kampos”, which means sea monster. Interestingly, part of the human brain is called the hippocampus, named so because of its resemblance to a seahorse. It is located under the cerebral cortex and is responsible for long and short term memory.
